As many of you know, Ryan and Kim both graduated from Arizona State University and ended up meting a few years later in an art gallery.
So, when we found the Tempe Center for the Arts (TCA), we knew it was the ideal place to celebrate our marriage! TCA is located in the heart of downtown Tempe; its beautiful architecture and views of Tempe Town Lake made it the perfect wedding venue for us.
The Tempe Center for the Arts (TCA), located at 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway (map), is one of the finest venues in Arizona – a jewel in the crown of a city known for its support of the arts.
The strikingly magnificent TCA, Designed by Tempe-based Architekton and award-winning Barton Myers Associates, houses a state-of-the-art, 600-seat proscenium theater, a 200-seat studio theater and a 3,500 square-foot gallery. The finely appointed Lakeside reception room overlooks Tempe Town Lake, with views of the Papago and Camelback mountains.

Monti’s La Casa Vieja was an easy choice for our rehearsal dinner. Monti’s was the location for Ryan’s father’s college graduation celebration, and the location of Kim’s parents first date. Kim and her family also visited Monti’s after her college graduation, and the Utter family uses Monti’s to celebrate birthdays or just to get together for family dinner.
Located just up the street from Tempe Center for the Arts, this is a classic staple of Mill Avenue. Dating back to 1871, Monti’s is like a landmark representing longevity, tradition and family, the perfect place for our rehearsal dinner.
